CARE IN A RURAL AFRICAN COMMUNTIY
EMERGENCY ROOM
The Clinic's small emergency room is designed for triaging and treating minor injuries, accidents, and illnesses.
SPECIALIST UNDER-5
On-site specialist under-5 nurses for assessing the Clinic's littlest patients.
BIRTH SUITE
A calm and peaceful space for childbirth, encouraging active labouring with a minimal intervention approach.
LABORATORY
The Clinic is currently fundraising to construct a laboratory to facilitate further diagnostic investigations.
MATERNAL HEALTH
The Clinic midwives are trained to give antenatal care, postnatal care, family planning advice, and infertility counselling.
PHARMACY
The Clinic has a small pharmacy to fill prescriptions not only for the patients of the Clinic but also from the local hospital.
OUR MISSION
To ensure that clients attending the Clinic feel safe, supported, and empowered in their health concerns, and are cared for by compassionate, happy, knowledgeable, and high-skilled staff who will always make the health and well-being of the client their priority.
To ensure that clients have an individualised plan for their care, made in partnership with Clinic staff.
OUR FUNDING
Initially funded through philanthropic grants, and now supported by international charitable organisations and NGOs, the Clinic is aiming for the clinical services to be self-sufficient within two years, based on small fees in the Emergency Room, Laboratory, and Pharmacy. This will allow the Clinic to continue to provide on-going subsidized medical care and treatment to the poorest rural populations, alongside the general clinical operations.
The Clinic will, however, continue to run specific outreach and pilot programmes for which grants and sponsorship are welcome.
